Dub ? Techno – vom modularen Noise, VCO, CV, Hüllkurven & Filter
Eurorack Modularsysteme liegen gerade sehr im Trend. Wer einmal eine Weile an einem realen Modulsystem experimentieren durfte, der weiß – die händische Arbeit mit Kablen und Drehpotis ist etwas ganz anderes, als ein softwarebasiertes Modularsystem innerhalb einer DAW. Selbst mit einem guten Controller einfach kein Vergleich! Einen kleinen Einblick in die Modularsystem-Welt vermitteln folgende Videos:
Jetzt denkst Du Dir – yeah … das möchte ich auch? Bei Modulargrid kannst Du Dir einen kleinen- nein, einen großen Überblick über das vielfältiges Angebot an Modulen verschaffen, dass es einem ermöglicht seinen Wunschklangerzeuger selbst zu gestalten. Außer eines VCOs, einer Hüllkurve und, und, und … ist gerade zur Produktion von Dub der Filter von großer Wichtigkeit. Um typische Dub-Stabs zu prduzieren benötigt man selbstverständlich einen CV gesteuerten Filter. Am besten gleich einen Stereofilter. Der RT 451 Radikal Technologies Stereofilter ist hier erste Wahl! Bedienkonzept, technische Möglichkeiten und vor allen Dingen der Klang, überzeugen auf ganzer Linie! Und wer sich kein ganzes Modularsystem leisten kann, der nimmt einfach ein Minicase von Doepfer mit Netzteil und kann so ganz einfach den Filter als externes Effektgerät nutzen. Z.B. Signale über den AUX-Send Regler, oder einer Subgruppe eines Mischpultes durch den Filter schicken.

RT 451 Multimode Filter – NAMM 2016 NEWS – Neuer analog Filter von Radikal Technologies

Von den vielen Namm 2016 Neuheiten ist der MatrixBrute eines der Geräte, welches wohl jeden Synthesizerliebhaber interessieren wird. Ein Analogsynthesizer der Superlative! Preis? Voraussichtlich unter 2000 Euro!
- Three Analog Oscillators: Sawtooth, Pulse, Triangle, waves with the unique waveshapers that have become the trademark of the ‚Brute‘ sound. There is also a sub-oscillator on each of the two Brute oscillators.
- Combination VCO/LFO oscillator: The third Osciallator can be used for both audio signals and LFO modulation at the same time. You do not have to choose either operation here so you can always have that big 3 oscillator sound.
- Noise Generator: Noise generator with White, Pink, Red and Blue noise types. The most versatile on the market.

Mam RS 3 Analog Filter-, Phaser- oder Flangereffekte
Der Mam RS 3 Resonator ist ein analoges Effektgerät (wird nicht mehr gebaut), mit dem sich einzigartige Filter-, Phaser- oder Flangereffekte in Studioqualität erzielen lassen.
Ich verwende es gerne für Strings, Mellotron Sounds oder andere Synthesizerflächen. Auch ist der RS 3 perfekt geeignet um digitalen Klangerzeugern mehr Wärme zu verleihen.
Für alle, die die Korg PS-Synthesizer kennen (1978), ist der Resonator sicherlich ein Begriff denn die Schaltung beruht auf derjenigen im Korg PS 3100. Das „Herz“ des Resonators bilden 3 Bandpassfilter mit hoher Resonanz. An sich nichts besonderes, wenn da nicht die Modulationsquellen wären: Sounds werden durch die LFO-Modulation erst richtig lebendig und durch Hinzunahme der Hüllkurven ändert sich der Klang abhängig von der Dynamik des Eingangssignals. Natürlich lässt sich der Klang auch per Hand verändern. Sollte das nicht reichen, steht zusätzlich ein Modulationseingang für externe CV-Spannungen (z.B. von einem Modularsystem) zur Verfügung.

Software CV Steuerspannung / Voltage Control DAW In/Out
Du hast einen Synthesizer mit CV Eingang oder analoge Effekt-Hardware und möchtest diese von deiner Digital Audio Workstation ansteuern? Oder CV vom Synthesizer deiner DAW zuführen, um sie aufzuzeichnen oder zu bearbeiten?
